A couple years ago, brothers Paul and Michael Murphy shared scotch and started writing songs at their parents house in Yarmouth, N.S. They were penning tunes for their mom about people in their family; all captured through the mic of a laptop. 12 ideas were born, most of which got reworked eight months later in Halifax with proper mics, click tracks: minus the booze. The result is Postdata, the name for the duo and the debut Vinyl on Hand Drawn Dracula Jan. 26th, 2010.

08.22.2009 · New Hand Drawn Dracula releases on the way. Julie Fader's Outside In is due September 8th 2009 and Off the International Radar's Hot Lips EP is due September 15th. Side B of OTIR's vinyl EP is a collaboration with Holy Fuck entitled 'Holy Radar' which plays as 2 versions on your record player, the 33RPM version and the 45RPM version!
Hand Drawn Dracula is also pleased to announce By Divine Right and Bishop Morocco have joined the HDD family. Look out for these and more releases late fall 2009 and early spring 2010.

02.25.2009 · Contrived performed 'Not A Goodbye' on Toro Magazine's Garage Band just before heading over to the sold out Hand Drawn Dracula showcase at the Whipper Snapper gallery. In Wintersleep news... 'Welcome to the Night Sky" was released in Europe this week on 147 Records with our Hand Drawn Dracula artwork!
