ETIQUETTE premiere their new video for “Attention Seeker” (directed by Ghostprom) on NOISEY today ~ the video “will make you want to find the nearest vehicle and steam up the windows.”

Attention Seeker bears a moody, mellow bassline, akin in vibe to Metronomy’s She Wants. It could also totally have been part of the soundtrack to The Virgin Suicides. All of which is to say Attention Seeker is both dreamy and unsettling and the video is full of shadowy eroticism” ~ NOISEY

“Julie Fader and Graham Walsh of ETIQUETTE – partners in music and life – bring their intoxicating, sultry sound to Studio Q. Their debut record, Reminisce, is a wholly original sonic exploration. Listening feels like wandering foggy city streets in the twilight hours.

The pair join guest host Jelena Adzic to discuss their penchant for collaboration and how their first major project together differs from what came before.” ~ Q

ETIQUETTE is a collaborative project of producer Graham Walsh (METZ, Viet Cong, Alvvays) and vocalist JULIE FADER.

Walsh’s “synth-heavy production also recalls classic acts like Eurythmics and Depeche Mode, and feels especially hypnotic when paired with Fader’s vocals, steady and feathery like those of Metric’s Emily Haines. ~ From the sparse starts (“Pleasantries”) to the pulsing intensity (“Twinkling Stars”), it’s difficult not to be enveloped by the Canadian natives’ lush and dreamy atmospherics.” ~ CONSEQUENCE OF SOUND

“slow, pulsing, dreamy synth clouds and melancholy lyrics, with the occasional blast of uptempo, dancefloor-ready electro” ~ CBC Music

Scion Sessions and Toronto dream pop duo ETIQUETTE (HolyFuck’s Graham Walsh & JULIE FADER) bring you the visual treatment for Brown and Blue; the latest offering from their debut album Reminisce, due out March 24th, 2015 // BUY SINGLE HERE

Directors Christopher Mills and Gaëlle Legrand bring their unique vision to the table, capturing the ethereal mood and tone of Etiquette’s Brown and Blue. “When a lonely Alchemist from a parallel universe begins experimenting with the abstract, new worlds can open up. Our camera floats hypnotically around his breezy, dilapidated laboratory, at times guided by the ghosts and memories of his past experiments – pushed, it seems, by Etiquette’s steady, pace, lush production, vocals, and cryptic lyrics.” – Chris Mills

Scion Sessions has previously collaborated with Etiquette & HDD on the sparse and moody track Outside In as part of the joint Scion Sessions x Field Trip limited edition Discovery Series 7”, as well as supporting their unforgettable live performance at the Field Trip Discovery Series / Hand Drawn Dracula showcase.

ETIQUETTE is pleased to share the video for “Outside In” through a premiere by STEREOGUM. The song appears on their forthcoming debut album, Reminisce, due for release February 24, 2015 on Hand Drawn Dracula. The video was directed by Christopher Mills and Gaëlle Legrand, with support from MuchFACT.

“the album will be one to look out for. It’s eerie, minimal synth and guitar music in the vein of Chromatics, or the back half of Talking Heads’ Remain In Light” ~ STEREOGUM

“Outside In” will be available digitally on December 16th, just two days before Etiquette take the stage in their hometown of Toronto at Danforth Music Hall, opening for Rural Alberta Advantage.

JULIE FADER‘s debut record ‘Outside In’ is being re-issued and pressed on WHITE VINYL – numbered, signed, and released February 14th 2012.
